IS IT DIFFICULT TO PEDAL A SEACYCLE ?

Imagine to ride on the water almost effortlessly, say the effort of walking but with a speed of 2 to 3 times faster than walking. If you want to make a workout, then you can pedal faster and it will be more difficult.

HOW FAST CAN YOU GO?

Between 7 and 8 km / h. In workout mode it is rather 9 km / h, and sprints are over 13 km / h.

ANY POLLUTION?

No fuel required, no pollution.

DOES IT MAKE NOISE?

There is no paddle wheel that you can hear. The propeller makes zero noise. The fishes and ducks are not afraid.

DO YOU NEED SPECIAL TRAINING?

There is no training or special ability to have such as for canoeing or kayaking. People of all ages can enjoy it.

WHAT CLOTHING ARE REQUIRED?

No need for swimming suit or wet suit. Normal shoes and clothing for the temperature will do.

HOW MANY SEASONS CAN YOU USE IT?

Even if there is snow out there, as long as there is no ice on the lake, you can go for a smooth Seacycle ride and enjoy the sun.

CAN YOU GET WET?

There is no splash since the Seacycle is high above the water.

WHAT DISTANCE CAN YOU DO IN A DAY?

The patented propeller drive system is amazingly efficient. It allows riders of almost any age and physical condition to achieve speeds of up to 13 km/h or to effortlessly cruise 50 kilometers or more in a day. No training or special skills are required. HOW MANY PEOPLE NEED TO PEDAL?

Everyone pedals at its own pace since there are 2 independent drive units. One person can pedal and the other can relax or not pedal at all.

CAN YOU LOOSE WEIGHT?

The Seacycle is very efficient to loose weight: since there are no hill to climb on the lake, it is possible to maintain a rythm of 65% of your cardiovascular capacity (fat burning zone) and burn an average of 725 calories / hour for a 150 pounds person.

DOES WIND AFFECT THE SPEED?

The Seacycle is very aerodynamic in the wind and waves. It can glide at 5 km/hr upwind through 3 feet waves and chops without any problem.

CAN YOU CAPSIZE?

The Seacycle has an excellent stability with a dimension of 6 ft wide by 15 ft long. You can dive from the very side of the pontoon. It is almost impossible to capsize.

IS IT HEAVY ?

The Seacycle is light weight in relation to its size: weight of 175 lbs. The pontoons weigh 45 lb each. It can be carried easily on a rooftop or an utility trailer.

IS IT EASY TO ASSEMBLE?

It can be assembled or disassembled in about 5 min without any tools. It can be mounted on a car roof top like kayacs or on a trailer.

IS IT DURABLE?

The low density polyethylene can absorb important chocs without being damaged. We have customers that still use their 25 years old Seacycle. The life expectancy is more than 20 years.

WHAT ELSE CAN YOU DO WITH THE SEACYCLE?

It is possible to go fishing and do camping expeditions: one of our customers which is in its seventies, does 400 km expeditions. Other do 1000 km in 17 days on the Adreatic Sea, Italia. Please send us your story for our Seacycle FAQ section.

CAN YOU CARRY IT BEHIND A SAILBOAT?

Yes, it is possible to use as a dinghy for a sailboat or catamaran. Imagine now, after a good day of sailing, that you hop on your Seacycle and go for a little exercise tour on your Seacycle to explore your shoreline or island bays,,, no need for a smelly, heavy and noisy gaz motor.

CAN YOU TRANSPORT BAGAGES?

You can fit your Seacycle with a swimming platform that you can also use for material transportation, scuba diving, food and beverages transportation, tent and chairs for a camp fire on the beach, etc.

CAN YOU USE IT IN HOTELS OR RENTALS?

Yes, since it is very aerodynamic and stable in all water and wind conditions and that it is capable for exploration. People can hire it to explore and see your beautiful environment from a different perspective. It is silent and very easy to pedal for any age group or various physical conditions.
